Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of relevant experience in housekeeping or hospitality
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software
- Ability to type at least 45 words per minute
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including some weekends or holidays
- Ability to travel as needed
- Must follow safety and security procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- College degree preferred
- 2+ years employment in a related position
- Advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Must be able to type 45 wpm and input data accurately
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Opera preferred
- Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion
- Service oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Energetic and outgoing personality
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
- Team player capable of working under minimal supervision
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with basic financial information and solve arithmetic problems
- Knowledge of property safety and security procedures
Job Duties
- Supervise the housekeeping associates to attract, retain and motivate them while providing a safe work environment
- Inspect staff's work performance within assigned section on a daily basis to ensure that all standards and productivity levels are being met and maintained
- Oversee the organized closing of the floors procedures at the end of the day ensuring the room attendant's carts are clean and restocked
- Supervise all laundry and housekeeping, holding them accountable and responsible for their work performance
- Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction
- Implement emergency training and procedures to ensure appropriate protection of the hotel's guests, staff and company assets
- Refer and follow up on maintenance issues/problems with Engineering to protect hotel assets, ensure a safe, accident free environment for guests and associates and maintain/improve guest satisfaction
