The role of the Housekeeping Supervisor at Four Seasons in Atlanta is a pivotal position within the housekeeping department. This supervisory role involves directing a dedicated section of the housekeeping staff to ensure that all guest rooms and public areas meet the brand's exacting cleanliness and maintenance standards. The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a crucial part in maintaining the overall guest experience by leading and mentoring teams of Room Attendants and House Attendants, overseeing daily cleaning schedules, inspecting completed work for quality assurance, and ensuring all areas of the hotel are kept in pristine condition. This full-time position requires flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical endurance is essential, as the role involves standing for extended periods and handling loads up to 50 pounds. The Housekeeping Supervisor is expected to have a minimum of six to twelve months of related experience, a working knowledge of housekeeping operations, familiarity with computer and reservation systems, and a commitment to detail and quality customer service. Job Requirements
- Ability to work all shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for long periods up to eight hours
- Ability to perform duties with attention to detail and minimal supervision
- Ability to safely lift, push, or pull heavy loads up to 50 pounds
- Ability to communicate satisfactorily in English
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Physical ability to grasp, bend, and stoop
- Basic computer proficiency
Job Qualifications
- Minimum six to twelve months related or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of housekeeping services, policies, or hotel operations
- Ability to operate computer equipment and reservation systems
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage and lead a team
- Knowledge of safety and cleanliness standards in hospitality
Job Duties
- Direct a section of housekeeping staff to ensure guest rooms and public areas are cleaned to exacting standards
- Inspect the work of room attendants and house attendants responsible for cleaning and upkeep
- Train and coach housekeeping staff
- Schedule daily cleaning tasks and monitor progress
- Inspect completed rooms for quality assurance and correct deficiencies
- Coordinate work orders and ensure completion
- Release checkout rooms for occupancy
- Monitor supplies on guest floors and cleanliness of corridors, stairwells, elevators, and linen closets
- Execute inventories of linens and housekeeping supplies
- Comply with company work rules and standards
- Work harmoniously and professionally with coworkers and supervisors
- Assist with duties of lobby attendant, room attendant and house attendant as needed
