Job Requirements

  • Ability to work all shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for long periods up to eight hours
  • Ability to perform duties with attention to detail and minimal supervision
  • Ability to safely lift, push, or pull heavy loads up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate satisfactorily in English
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Physical ability to grasp, bend, and stoop
  • Basic computer proficiency

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum six to twelve months related or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of housekeeping services, policies, or hotel operations
  • Ability to operate computer equipment and reservation systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage and lead a team
  • Knowledge of safety and cleanliness standards in hospitality

Job Duties

  • Direct a section of housekeeping staff to ensure guest rooms and public areas are cleaned to exacting standards
  • Inspect the work of room attendants and house attendants responsible for cleaning and upkeep
  • Train and coach housekeeping staff
  • Schedule daily cleaning tasks and monitor progress
  • Inspect completed rooms for quality assurance and correct deficiencies
  • Coordinate work orders and ensure completion
  • Release checkout rooms for occupancy
  • Monitor supplies on guest floors and cleanliness of corridors, stairwells, elevators, and linen closets
  • Execute inventories of linens and housekeeping supplies
  • Comply with company work rules and standards
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with coworkers and supervisors
  • Assist with duties of lobby attendant, room attendant and house attendant as needed
