The role of Housekeeping Supervisor is critical in maintaining the hotel's cleanliness and quality standards across all guest rooms and public areas. Responsibilities include assigning work to Room Attendants, training staff in housekeeping duties, and occasionally assisting with cleaning as needed to ensure smooth operation during peak times or staff shortages. The supervisor is also responsible for maintaining accurate room occupancy records and effective communication with other hotel departments, enhancing coordination and overall service delivery.

In addition to overseeing cleaning operations, the Housekeeping Supervisor acts as a point of contact for addressing and resolving any guest complaints related to housekeeping services or equipment. They ensure that all requisitions for room supplies, furniture renovations, or replacements are properly prepared and submitted. A critical component of the role involves inspecting carpets, drapes, and furniture for stains, damage, or wear, documenting findings, and initiating timely corrective actions to uphold the property's standards.

Inventory management also falls under the supervisor's purview, which includes checking linen and supply levels to ensure adequate stock for daily use, monitoring employee usage of supplies to control budget impact, and enforcing key control policies and procedures. Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • additional training or certification in hospitality or housekeeping operations is a plus

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of housekeeping experience in a commercial environment
  • experience supervising or training housekeeping staff
  • familiarity with inventory management, room inspections, and guest service protocols

Job Duties
