The Grand Bohemian Charlotte, Autograph Collection, is an AAA Four Diamond boutique hotel situated in the vibrant Uptown Charlotte area. This centrally located accommodation offers guests close access to notable landmarks such as Truist Field, Romare Bearden Park, and the NASCAR Hall of Fame. It is also conveniently positioned near the Charlotte Convention Center and the city's business district, making it ideal for both leisure and business travelers. The hotel features Argentinian-inspired guest rooms equipped with modern amenities, a gourmet dining option at Mico Restaurant, and the rooftop Búho Bar, providing stunning views of the Uptown skyline. The Housekeeping Supervisor role at The Grand Bohemian Charlotte is a vital leadership position responsible for coordinating housekeeping operations within assigned sections of the hotel. This hourly position requires overseeing the performance and productivity of Room Attendants while ensuring the maintenance of cleanliness and order throughout guest rooms and hotel areas. The Supervisor steps into the Housekeeping Manager’s responsibilities in their absence and plays a pivotal role in ensuring guest satisfaction through seamless housekeeping services. They manage daily inspections, supervise the closing procedures for housekeeping areas, monitor inventory and work assignments, and handle key control and lost-and-found items.

This supervisor also liaises directly with the Front Office and Engineering departments to report VIP room availability, out-of-order rooms, and initiate maintenance requests. The role demands active communication skills and the ability to carry an active pager or radio during shifts to maintain contact with relevant departments. Additionally, the Housekeeping Supervisor assists in the training of new staff and participates in cleaning duties as business needs require. They ensure major cleaning projects are completed on a biannual basis, further maintaining the hotel’s high standards. This position demands a blend of supervisory experience, hospitality knowledge, and a guest-focused mindset to uphold the luxurious and artistic standards for which Kessler Hospitality is known.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two to three years of progressive experience in hotel or related field preferred
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • Ability to stand during entire shift
  • Must effectively communicate verbally and written with employees and guests
  • Friendly, courteous, and service oriented attitude

Job Duties

  • Inspect Room Attendants work performance daily to ensure standards and productivity
  • Inspect VIP rooms and report availability to Front Office in absence of management
  • Oversee closing of floors ensuring carts are clean and restocked
  • Ensure daily assignment records are completed and submitted on time
  • Maintain key control and handle Lost and Found items according to standards
  • Monitor cleanliness and orderliness of carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways, and landings
  • Assign duties daily ensuring Room Attendants and House Attendants have work assignments
  • Maintain contact with Front Office and Engineering via pager or radio
  • Report progress of out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager
  • Initiate and follow up on work orders for repairs and maintenance
  • Assist with training of housekeeping staff
  • Perform room cleaning duties when needed
  • Complete biannual cleaning projects
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
