The Holiday Inn Express in Spokane, WA, is currently seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join their dedicated team. This role is pivotal in ensuring guests enjoy the comforts of home during their stay by maintaining a clean, welcoming, and hospitable environment. The Housekeeping Supervisor must excel in a fast-paced setting, demonstrating leadership qualities that inspire the housekeeping team to perform at their best. This position involves overseeing daily housekeeping operations, coordinating staff schedules, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service. Additionally, the supervisor will collaborate closely with other hotel departments, contributing to overall guest satisfaction and hotel efficiency.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for opening and/or closing the housekeeping department, managing room status updates, and supporting laundry operations and inventory control. As a frontline leader, the Housekeeping Supervisor trains, motivates, and recognizes team members, ensuring the team operates smoothly and meets hotel standards. They will also conduct inspections of guest rooms and public areas, promptly address maintenance needs, and provide friendly assistance to guests when necessary. This role requires physical stamina to manage tasks involving lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous housekeeping or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to perform housekeeping tasks including lifting and standing for long periods
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Capable of leading and motivating a team

Job Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping experience in hospitality, property management or healthcare is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to continuously move, bend, lift, push, pull, carry, and move up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and perform repetitive motions
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Open and/or close the department each day, reporting room status to the front desk
  • Train, supervise, motivate and recognize the housekeeping staff
  • Assist with laundry operations, inventory, ordering, lost and found and scheduling
  • Inspect and/or clean multiple rooms each day
  • Greet and assist guests with a friendly smile
  • Support our maintenance team by reporting any broken, defective or missing items
  • Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments
