The role available at Fairfield Inn & Suites San Antonio NE Schertz is for a Supervisory position within the housekeeping department, primarily assisting the Executive Housekeeper. This role is critical to maintaining the cleanliness, orderliness, and overall attractiveness of the hotel in line with both corporate and franchise standards. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the management team with oversight of housekeeping operations, including management of supplies, linen, equipment, work orders, and other housekeeping functions. The position requires an individual who can effectively supervise housekeeping staff, assist in scheduling and training, and ensure that the highest standards of hygiene and service are consistently met. This role also acts as a bridge between the housekeeping department and other hotel teams, such as the Front Desk and Sales, facilitating communication and operational flow.
The Supervisory Housekeeping role involves inspecting guest rooms to confirm adherence to quality standards, responding promptly to guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping, and maintaining meticulous inventories of supplies and equipment. Additionally, the supervisor will manage housekeeping keys and enforce uniform and grooming standards among the staff. The position requires flexibility to fill in during the absence of senior housekeeping management and perform other duties as assigned by hotel management. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in hotel housekeeping
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in housekeeping
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong attention to detail
- Physical ability to perform housekeeping duties
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of hotel housekeeping techniques

Job Duties
- Assist the executive housekeeper in supervising housekeeping associates
- Assist in scheduling and training all housekeeping staff
- Act as a liaison between the director of housekeeping and housekeeping inspectors
- Respond to guest requests and complaints concerning housekeeping
- Inspect guest rooms to ensure quality and hotel standards
- Maintain contact with front desk and sales to coordinate room occupancy
- Fill in for executive or assistant housekeeper as needed
- Assist in monthly inventories and ordering supplies and equipment
- Maintain and issue housekeeping keys
- Ensure staff adheres to uniform and grooming standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
