The Housekeeping Supervisor role at HHM Hotels is a vital position responsible for overseeing housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms and public areas meet brand and hotel standards for cleanliness and sustainability. Reporting to higher management, the Housekeeping Supervisor leads a team of housekeeping associates, training, scheduling, and coaching them to achieve consistent excellence aligned with the hotel’s core values and guest service objectives. This role includes supervising daily cleaning procedures, issuing supplies and equipment, and directly assisting with room cleaning when necessary. The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining guest satisfaction by monitoring service quality, addressing performance issues, and collaborating with external vendors when applicable. They are also responsible for providing leadership in compliance with sustainability initiatives under HHM’s EarthView program and adhering to all safety regulations, including OSHA and MSDS guidelines. In addition to housekeeping duties, the supervisor may support breakfast area operations and contribute to workforce planning to accommodate fluctuating occupancy levels. The position offers a growth path toward executive roles such as Executive Housekeeper, Front Office Manager, Assistant General Manager, and ultimately General Manager, making it an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals seeking a career in hospitality management. Job Duties

  • Train schedule coach and support associates ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values
  • Screen job applicants and hire new employees in the event housekeeping associates are HHM employees
  • Train staff to clean rooms in an efficient manner according to established standards or partner with external vendors to ensure staff is trained properly
  • Be aware of and communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction
  • Issue cleaning supplies and equipment to associates
  • On occasion clean rooms or assist staff with cleaning rooms
  • Address associate performance and behavior concerns by either direct intervention with HHM associates or through vendors
  • Supervise laundry employees if applicable
  • Prepare work schedules for HHM associates or provide vendors with anticipated occupancy to ensure proper staffing levels
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program
  • Practice safe work habits wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
  • Assist in the breakfast area as needed
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
