At TownePlace Suites Huntsville, the Housekeeping Supervisor holds a pivotal role in delivering on MCR's commitment to cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. This position is primarily responsible for overseeing the housekeeping department’s operations, which includes ensuring that all guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a key leadership role, stepping in to perform the duties of the Executive Housekeeper as needed and managing the housekeeping staff to maintain operational excellence.
In this role, the Housekeeping Supervisor coordinates daily tasks to ensure spotless cleanliness and guest satisfaction. They manage the guest request log to proactively address needs and monitor VIP guest accommodations meticulously. Their duties boast a broad scope, encompassing everything from daily team briefings and quality control inspections to inventory management and compliance with safety regulations such as OSHA chemical standards. This supervisor also ensures proper laundering processes, maintains storage areas, follows up on maintenance requests, and upholds key control systems.

Job Requirements
- Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns of co-workers and guests
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must have a desire to serve all guests
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be willing to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift and clock out at scheduled shift end time
- Must clock in/out for breaks at scheduled times
- Must provide sufficient notice when calling out for a scheduled shift
Job Qualifications
- Experience in hospitality or service industry preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Job Duties
- Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
- Use the guests' names whenever possible to ensure they feel welcomed
- Work together with team members to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
- Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
- Maintain strong knowledge of hotel features and amenities
- Support all groups and events within the hotel
- Answer incoming calls with friendly, approved greetings
- Keep all workspaces clean and well-organized
- Pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed
- Greet guests positively while cleaning
- Complete operational checklists accurately and on time every shift
- Submit accurate and timely shift handover reports
- Wear a clean, approved uniform and maintain grooming standards
- Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
- Show willingness to go beyond traditional roles to meet guest needs
- Collaborate effectively to create a welcoming environment and positive workplace
- Manage the guest request log and proactively resolve issues
- Monitor VIP guests and special requests
- Oversee daily housekeeping team stand-ups and assignments
- Inspect rooms and public spaces for quality and cleanliness
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage and laundry rooms
- Stock supplies for housekeeping cart set-up
- Remove trash and replace linens in guest rooms
