Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of leadership experience in hospitality industry or similar organization
  • At least two years of housekeeping experience in a full service hotel
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to work any five days a week including AM and PM shifts
  • Ability to use various housekeeping equipment and office software
  • Ability to work under variable temperature and noise conditions both indoors and outdoors
  • Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist, stoop or reach repeatedly without difficulty
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to handle workplace problems proactively
  • Must be able to assimilate complex information from multiple sources
  • Ability to listen to and understand concerns raised by coworkers and guests
  • Mathematical reasoning skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of leadership experience in hospitality industry or similar organization
  • Two years of housekeeping experience in a full service hotel
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Multilingual skills helpful
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Maintain regular attendance, as required by the needs of the hotel operation
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, as defined in the hotel handbook, when working
  • Comply at all times with hotel's policies and procedures to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
  • Supervise housekeeping staff, including training, developing, empowering, coaching, and resolving problems
  • Inspect all rooms assigned to housekeepers daily to ensure quality and cleanliness
  • Communicate with front desk and office team regarding discrepant rooms and housekeeping-related information
