Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two to three years of progressive experience in hotel or related field preferred
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • Ability to stand during entire shift
  • Effective verbal and written communication with employees and guests in a friendly courteous manner

Job Duties

  • Inspect room attendant’s work performance daily to ensure standards and productivity
  • Oversee the closing of floors each day by ensuring carts are clean and restocked
  • Maintain records of daily assignments complied and submitted on time
  • Manage key control and lost and found items per standards
  • Monitor cleanliness of carts, linen closets, stairways, and landings
  • Assign daily duties ensuring room and house attendants have tasks
  • Maintain contact with front office and engineering via pager or radio
  • Report progress on out-of-order rooms to guest services manager
  • Initiate and follow up on work orders for repairs and maintenance
  • Assist with training housekeeping staff
  • Occasionally clean rooms as needed
  • Ensure completion of biannual cleaning projects
  • Maintain overall guest satisfaction
