Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year experience in hospitality or similar role
- Ability to walk, kneel, stoop and stand for entire shift
- Capability to exert medium work involving lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Availability for open shifts including evenings
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Team player with minimal supervision skills
- Multitasking and organizational abilities
- Maintain confidentiality of guest and hotel information
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ year experience in hospitality or equivalent establishment
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and web analytics tools preferred
- Working knowledge of safety and security procedures
- Excellent customer service and sales skills
- Effective communication skills in English
- Energetic and outgoing personality
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of financial arithmetic
- Ability to type 45 words per minute and input data
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Opera systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
Job Duties
- Walk, kneel, stoop, and stand for entire shift while cleaning and servicing guest rooms
- Strip beds, remove soiled linen, terry and trash from guestrooms
- Check under beds and sofas for debris, clean bedroom and closet area, make beds properly
- Vacuum, sweep and mop floors ensuring all guest room areas, balconies and hallways are free from debris
- Dust furniture, lamps, headboards, pictures, planters and clean kitchen counters, cabinets, drawers, refrigerators
- Clean bathroom counters, floors, showers, and tubs thoroughly
- Report any missing or found articles, damage or maintenance problems to housekeeping supervisors
- Receive assigned section, keys, supplies and priority requests from the housekeeping supervisor
- Respond in a friendly, helpful and courteous manner to guests, managers and fellow associates
- Report all guest issues and complaints to management
