Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
- ability to exert physical effort lifting 25 to 100 lbs
- ability to stand/walk up to 8 hours per shift
- good eye for detail regarding cleanliness and maintenance
- ability to work with constant interruptions
- ability to maneuver cleaning cart and equipment
- ability to perform continuous actions such as standing, walking, squatting, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, wiping, climbing, sweeping, mopping, bending, grasping during shift
- able to withstand working at heights
- willingness to work overnight shifts

Job Duties
- Greet and acknowledge all arriving/departing guests
- maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of work areas at all times
- maintain knowledge of departmental opening and closing procedures
- maintain knowledge of daily staffing requirements, assignments, and documentations
- maintain knowledge of correct maintenance, use of equipment, floor care, and carpet maintenance
- anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests
- maintain positive guest relations at all times
- be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
- resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
- monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
- use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces according to OSHA and safety regulations
- record sweep logs for public areas
- check with supervisor and Housekeeping office for additional assignments
- always have security in mind when assigned to guest floors
- empty trash containers and ashtrays continuously
- upkeep cleanliness of public areas free of dust, litter, and stains
- replenish all amenities as assigned
- dust, wipe, and polish surfaces including walls, baseboards, artwork and elevator mirrors
- realign furniture to floor plan
- report lost and found to housekeeping office
- inspect condition of all furniture and report damages
- transport room service trays/items to service elevator landings
- rotate mattresses as scheduled
- ensure proper informational folios in public areas
- clean ice buckets and refrigerators
- vacuum thoroughly, including corners
- clean lamps, light fixtures and switches and check their function
- remove dust, spots and smears from windows and other surfaces
- scrub bathroom and shower walls and floor including toilet
- inspect and maintain condition of planters and plants
- spot carpet
- clean doors and door frames
- polish chrome surfaces
- empty trash containers in rooms and public areas
- remove trash, debris and mop lanai
- empty vacuum cleaner bags and clean machines
- deliver requested items to guests
- retrieve items from guest rooms and return to storage
- report maintenance and security issues immediately
- handle guest requests for shoeshines and laundry
- submit work orders as assigned
- place wet floor signs during wet weather
- ensure security of guest room access and hotel property
- neaten cart and replenish stock
- perform all other assigned duties
