Housekeeping Staff members are expected to perform a variety of cleaning tasks including dusting, polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, maintaining and waxing floors, and managing waste disposal including garbage and ashtrays. Additionally, this role requires addressing guest inquiries courteously and assisting with the hygiene needs of guest rooms when necessary. Responsibilities extend to labeling and organizing stockroom items with accuracy to ensure operational order and efficiency. Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel setting advantageous
- strong attention to detail
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work effectively as part of a team
- basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- physical ability to perform manual cleaning tasks and handle cleaning equipment
Job Duties
- Clean and maintain assigned sections of the hotel premises including offices and banquet rooms
- address guests' concerns promptly to enhance guest experience
- carry out cleaning tasks such as dusting, polishing, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, waxing floors, and waste disposal
- greet guests warmly creating a welcoming environment
- identify and address safety hazards immediately
- ensure accurate labeling of stockroom items with identification tags
- perform comprehensive cleaning tasks and manage unique assignments
- attend to guest room hygiene requests when required
