The Housekeeper role at Veranda Rehabilitation and Healthcare is a full-time position with scheduled hours from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., working on a 4-on, 2-off shift pattern. This position is integral to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both residents and staff. Housekeepers play a critical role in supporting the overall health and wellbeing of patients by ensuring that the facility’s common areas, patient rooms, and other spaces are hygienic and orderly. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Able to work full-time hours including evenings
- Physically able to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Capable of understanding and following verbal and written instructions
- Must pledge to live company values of CAPLICO
- Must pass background checks and any required health screenings
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferred
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain cleanliness standards
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Commitment to upholding health and safety regulations
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures
Job Duties
- Clean and maintain patient rooms and common areas
- Ensure all areas are free of debris and hazards
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines
- Report maintenance issues promptly to the appropriate department
- Support the healthcare team by providing a hygienic environment
- Follow scheduled cleaning rotations and prioritize areas as needed
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of rooms for various patient needs
