The role of Housekeeping Specialist in Downey, CA, is pivotal within Stefanini’s healthcare equipment service operations. Operating primarily in the first shift from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday with a 40-hour workweek, the position offers steady, full-time employment with competitive salary ranges subject to experience, qualifications, and local market conditions. The Housekeeping Specialist plays a multi-functional role, focusing on cleaning, disinfecting, conducting operational checks, and performing minor repairs on a broad spectrum of medical products, including Hill-Rom and non-Hill-Rom equipment. While work is mainly conducted at the service center, there may be occasions—subject to approval from management—where tasks are performed at customer facilities to meet scheduling demands. The position demands a strong awareness of safety protocols and proactive compliance with all required safety measures, including attendance at monthly safety meetings and timely completion of medical testing and safety training modules. The Housekeeping Specialist is also expected to maintain a clean and safe working environment, actively participate in 5S activities to promote workplace organization, and identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.

Additionally, the role involves physical responsibilities such as lifting up to 65 pounds and managing heavy medical products that can weigh up to 1680 pounds with proper safety procedures. Daily duties include loading, unloading, maneuvering, and securing medical equipment both at the service center and for customer deliveries. The position also requires a technical aptitude to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment components, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and cosmetic features.
