Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extensive periods, walk, bend, lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly
  • Able to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Good communication and listening skills
  • Compliance with hotel uniform and grooming standards
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management, and fellow team members

Job Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping experience required
  • Must have good English skills including reading, writing, and speaking
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Ability to give direction to housekeepers
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and make appropriate decisions in difficult situations
  • Customer-service orientated with excellent hospitality skills

Job Duties

  • Provide guests with service that anticipates their needs
  • Ensure hotel security through key control
  • Manage safety and proper use and storage of hazardous chemicals
  • Advise manager of rooms requiring repairs
  • Write work orders for guest room repairs
  • Inspect guest rooms to ensure housekeeping standards are achieved
  • Train housekeeping employees in professional knowledge and skills according to departmental standards
