Alyeska Resort is currently seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Room Attendants to join their team in Girdwood. This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and inviting atmosphere of guest rooms, ensuring every guest enjoys a flawless experience during their stay. Housekeeping Room Attendants are responsible for adhering to strict housekeeping procedures, security protocols, and safety guidelines, reflecting the resort’s commitment to quality and guest satisfaction.

The position involves cleaning and servicing approximately 14 assigned hotel rooms daily to meet Alyeska’s high standards. Key responsibilities include replacing linens, replenishing bathroom supplies and room amenities, cleaning and dusting all surfaces including glass and wood, as well as ensuring bathroom fixtures such as toilets, bathtubs, showers, and tiles are spotless. Additionally, attendants must vacuum floors, check under beds and inside refrigerators, remove trash, and maintain clean hallways. Proper organization of linen closets and management of dirty linens through laundry chutes are also part of the daily tasks.

Housekeeping Room Attendants update room assignment sheets to accurately document completed rooms and note Do Not Disturb (DND) requests or refusals of service. Effective communication with housekeeping management is critical to report any issues with furniture or fixtures, regardless of how minor they may seem. The role also demands maintaining a professional, courteous, and friendly demeanor with guests and fellow staff members, ensuring the overall guest experience is elevated through exceptional service.

Job Duties

  • Follow all house rules, housekeeping procedures, security procedures, safety guidelines, and grooming standards
  • Must be able to clean all 14 assigned hotel rooms to Alyeska Resort standards
  • Replace all linen and replenish all bathroom supplies and room amenities
  • Clean and dust all glass and wood surfaces
  • Clean bathroom fixtures, toilets, bathtubs, showers, and tile
  • Wash floors, vacuum, check under beds, in refrigerators and remove trash
  • Ensure hallways are clean, trays and roll-aways are in linen closets and dirty linens are taken down laundry chute
  • Update room assignment sheet, noting completed rooms, all DNDs and refusals (no service) on their worksheet
  • Notify housekeeping management of any problems with the condition of furniture and fixtures, no matter how small
  • Maintain a professional manner, courteous and friendly with everyone
