Job Requirements

Flexibility to work various conditions and hours including weekends
Ability to communicate and react proactively
Use of personal protective equipment and cleaning tools
Completion of specialized training where applicable
Willingness to clean thoroughly including others’ messes
Enthusiasm for guest interaction
Self-directed work ethic with attention to detail
Ability to work fast-paced environments handling approximately 14 rooms per day
Comfortable working alone in guest rooms for long periods

Job Qualifications

Flexible and adaptable to work in various areas and conditions
Proactive in communicating concerns and reacting to situations
Ability to use personal protective equipment, hand tools, power equipment, disinfectants and cleaning products
Willingness to get dirty and clean up messes
Enthusiastic about interacting and helping guests
Self-directed and able to maintain quality while performing repetitious tasks
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment
Ability to work independently in guest rooms for most of the shift
Enjoys cleaning
Previous experience in a cleaning environment such as housekeeping or restaurant
Experience in self-directed roles with little supervision
Knowledge of Hawaiian or Japanese language preferred

Job Duties

Clean approximately 14 units per day including making beds, cleaning bathrooms and dusting furniture
Change bedding such as bed sacks, blankets, duvet covers and inserts
Vacuum and edge carpets including underneath furniture, remove carpet spots
Clean and touch up windows, walls and baseboards
Clean patios, balconies, walls, floors and furniture
Fold towels with special touches like crimping toilet paper and tissues
Clean entrance of room including front and back of entrance door and surrounding wall area
Replace amenities in guest rooms
Change shower liners, shower curtains, bed pads
Replace glasses, mugs and carafes including cleaning coffee filters
Change iron board covers as needed
Stock cart/baskets and take inventory of amenities, linen and terry
Deep clean entire room and bathrooms on specified days
Perform nightly turndown duties for VIP level and specified guests
