Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be flexible and adaptable
- Ability to communicate proactively
- Must be willing to use personal protective equipment and cleaning tools
- Must be able to work alone for most of the shift
- Must be enthusiastic about guest interactions
- Able to complete repetitive tasks with quality
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Availability must meet schedule requirements for part-time or full-time
- Willing to perform physical cleaning tasks
- Previous cleaning experience preferred
- Knowledge of Hawaiian or Japanese language is a plus
Job Qualifications
- Flexible and adaptable to work in a variety of areas and conditions
- Proactive in communicating concerns and reacting to situations
- Ability to use personal protective equipment, hand tools, power equipment, disinfectants, degreasing chemicals, and cleaning products
- Some roles require additional specialized training and ergonomic principles
- Willingness to clean up after others
- Enthusiastic about interacting with and helping guests
- Self-directed and able to complete repetitious tasks while maintaining quality
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment
- Experience enjoying cleaning preferred
- Previous experience in a cleaning environment such as housekeeping or kitchens preferred
- Previous experience in a self-directed role requiring little supervision preferred
- Knowledge of Hawaiian or Japanese language preferred
Job Duties
- Clean approximately 14 guest rooms per day including making beds and cleaning bathrooms
- Change bedding such as bed sacks, blankets, duvet covers, and inserts on specified days
- Vacuum and edge carpets including underneath furniture and remove carpet spots
- Clean and touch up windows, walls, and baseboards
- Clean patios, balconies, walls, floors, and furniture
- Fold towels with special touches and crimp toilet paper and tissues
- Clean entrance areas of guest rooms including front and back doors and surrounding walls
- Replace amenities in guest rooms
- Change shower liners, shower curtains, bed pads, and similar items
- Replace glasses, mugs, and carafes including cleaning coffee filters
- Change iron board covers as needed
- Stock carts and baskets and take inventory of amenities, linen, and terry needed to replenish rooms
- Perform deep cleaning of rooms and bathrooms on specified days
- Perform nightly turndown duties for VIP and specified guests
