As a Room Attendant at Residence Inn Wilmington Downtown, you will play an essential role in upholding the high standards of cleanliness and comfort that our guests expect. This position involves cleaning and sanitizing public areas, offices, and guest rooms efficiently and thoroughly, ensuring that every space sparkles and is ready to welcome guests. You will be instrumental in preparing rooms for new arrivals by assisting with tasks such as stripping beds and replenishing supplies, demonstrating a keen eye for detail throughout.

Your responsibilities will also include maintaining the proper arrangement of furniture and ensuring the safety and security of guest privacy by carefully managing assigned keys and sensitive areas. Inspecting furniture for damages like rips, tears, or stains will be a crucial part of your role to make certain every element of the guest environment remains in top condition.

Job Requirements

  • prior cleaning experience in a hotel or similar setting preferred
  • high school diploma or equivalent is a plus
  • knowledge of proper chemical handling
  • flexible availability
  • experience in extended stay properties

Job Duties

  • clean and sanitize designated areas using proper tools and chemicals
  • ensure no items are stored in stairwells
  • reposition furniture to the correct layout
  • check for and remove debris
  • clean up to 18 rooms max
  • prepare cleaning carts with appropriate supplies and equipment
  • safeguard assigned keys and handle sensitive areas with care
  • assist room attendants by stripping rooms and preparing them for the next guest
  • inspect furniture for damage such as rips, tears, or stains and report issues promptly
  • perform other duties as assigned
