Job Description

MCR is a leading hotel owner and operator in the United States, recognized as the third-largest in the industry. Founded in 2006, the company has rapidly expanded its footprint and currently manages a diverse $5.0 billion portfolio that includes 148 premium-branded hotels with more than 22,000 guestrooms spread across 37 states and 106 cities. Headquartered with offices in New York City, Dallas, Chicago, and Richmond, Virginia, MCR has established itself as a powerhouse in hospitality management. The company's impressive range of operations spans nine Marriott brands, eight Hilton brands, and numerous unflagged independent hotels, collectively serving a wide array of guests and travelers nationwide.

MCR's dedication to innovation and excellence has earned it numerous accolades, including recognition as one of Fast Company’s 10 Most Innovative Travel Companies of 2020. Aside from industry awards, MCR has been honored with the Marriott Partnership Circle Award three times, affirming its outstanding partnership with Marriott, and the Hilton Legacy Award for Top Performer. Their project, the TWA Hotel at JFK Airport in New York, has received multiple distinguished honors including the Development of the Year (Full Service) Award at The Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS), and architectural awards from the American Institute of Architects, highlighting MCR’s commitment to high-quality development and design.

The Housekeeping Room Attendant role at The Landing at Skyview 6, a hotel managed by MCR, is essential for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This position is responsible for the general cleaning and upkeep of guestrooms and assigned areas following stringent housekeeping procedures and standards. A typical workday involves picking up cleaning and guest room supplies, ensuring assigned rooms are cleaned thoroughly according to hotel standards, reporting maintenance issues, and responding promptly and courteously to guest requests. The attendant is also expected to manage housekeeping supplies and equipment, handle lost and found items, and maintain organization and cleanliness of linen closets and supply carts.

Beyond the physical upkeep, the role demands a warm and approachable demeanor to greet guests and contribute to a welcoming hotel environment. The attendant is accountable for tasks like changing linens, making beds, cleaning and polishing guest bathrooms, restocking guest room amenities, and inspecting appliances to ensure they meet cleanliness and operational standards. Attention to detail and efficiency are critical given the need to manage quotas and work under the supervision of managers or supervisors, while always prioritizing guest comfort and satisfaction.

This position requires physical stamina and dexterity, including the ability to move, bend, lift, push, pull, and carry supplies up to 25-30 pounds routinely with occasional lifts up to 50 pounds. The role also requires standing and walking for entire shifts while performing repetitive motions, making physical fitness and endurance important aspects of successful job performance. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. and demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude along with the flexibility to work a Monday through Sunday schedule, including holidays and weekends based on the hotel's needs.

MCR offers comprehensive benefits to its employees, including immediate access to membership in the American Airlines Credit Union and eligibility for fitness center membership. Additionally, employees benefit from discounts on hotel rooms at MCR-managed properties and have access to an Employee Assistance Program. Weekly paydays provide steady income, and after 30 days of employment, comprehensive health benefits become available, such as dental, vision, and health insurance, along with health savings accounts and flexible spending accounts. Paid time off benefits, including personal days, sick days, and holidays, are provided after 90 days, and retirement savings plans with 401(k) matching and Roth 401(k) options are accessible after six months of employment.

MCR’s commitment to career advancement and employee satisfaction is evident through its emphasis on upward mobility, referral bonuses, and the encouragement of personal and professional growth within the company. Joining MCR as a Housekeeping Room Attendant means becoming part of a nationally recognized company that values quality, innovation, and guest experience while offering rewarding benefits and consistent opportunities for career growth and stability.
