Job Requirements
- No prior experience or training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in English
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, and lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Availability to work in occasionally loud environments
- Willingness to work with fumes or airborne particles
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks
- No computer skills required
- No certifications needed
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization in English
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
Job Duties
- Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas
- Sweeps, scrubs, finishes, and polishes floor
- Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- Dusts furniture and equipment
- Polishes metalwork
- Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork
- Washes windows, door panels, and sills
- Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area
