The position of Housekeeper/Laundry Worker at Gladman MHRC is vital to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors alike. This role is part-time, with evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM across a flexible schedule alternating between two-week cycles. The role offers a minimum hourly rate of $21.78 and is covered under a collective bargaining agreement, requiring union membership upon hire. As a Housekeeper/Laundry Worker, the selected candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the facility’s building areas and managing laundry services, ensuring all environments meet the highest hygiene standards, thereby supporting the therapeutic milieu of the mental health rehabilitation center. The position plays a crucial role in infection control and supports daily operations essential to client safety and comfort.

Key responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, shampooing floors; dusting and sanitizing furniture, vents, counters, and stainless steel surfaces; cleaning resident rooms, dayrooms, offices, and utility rooms; managing waste disposal; laundering and distributing linens correctly; and cooperating with clinical staff to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
