Job Requirements
- Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
- strong command of the English language both spoken and written
- bi-lingual skills a plus but not required
- demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across diverse cultures and backgrounds
- proficiency in MS Outlook and Excel
- high school or equivalent education required
- bachelor’s degree preferred with emphasis in hospitality
- minimum 1 year housekeeping management experience in full-service hotel or related field
- must be able to work variable schedule including days nights holidays and weekends
- regularly required to sit stand walk bend and use hands
- must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and work majority of shift on feet
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- bachelor’s degree preferred especially in hospitality
- minimum of 1 year housekeeping management experience in a full-service hotel or related field
- proficiency in MS Outlook and Excel
- strong command of English both spoken and written
- ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and communicate effectively
Job Duties
- Performs human resource functions for staff including recruiting training scheduling counseling and appraising performance
- ensures property policies are administered fairly and consistently disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to policy
- ensures compliance with all housekeeping policies standards and procedures
- plans and anticipates business needs by reading and interpreting daily weekly occupancy report
- performs supervision of supply and storage areas by conducting tours and managing inventories
- ensures employee usage of chemicals and equipment complies with OSHA guidelines
- ensures team members have proper supplies equipment and uniforms
- observes team behaviors and provides feedback
- assists with inspection program for guestrooms meeting rooms and public spaces
- communicates effectively with Front Office regarding house status
- maintains and evaluates cleanliness standards and communicates areas needing attention
- reports maintenance concerns and evaluates upkeep of the facility
- participates in departmental meetings and communicates departmental goals
- responds to and handles guest problems and complaints
- communicates effectively with Executive Housekeeper about progress and issues
- participates in required manager on duty coverage as scheduled
