The Housekeeping Manager role at The Landing at Skyview 6 involves the comprehensive management and supervision of the Housekeeping department under the direction of the Executive and Assistant Executive Housekeepers. This position is pivotal in supporting daily departmental operations and ensuring superior cleanliness and hospitality standards across the property. The Housekeeping Manager is heavily involved in human resource functions including recruiting, training, scheduling, counseling, and performance appraisal of staff. They are responsible for enforcing property policies fairly and consistently, maintaining compliance with housekeeping standards and procedures, and ensuring all disciplinary actions and documentation are properly handled in accordance with these policies.

Additionally, the Housekeeping Manager must understand the broader operational impacts of the department, analyzing daily and weekly occupancy reports to efficiently plan and allocate resources. They oversee supply and storage areas, conducting regular tours and managing monthly and daily inventories of cleaning supplies, linens, and chemicals, ensuring usage complies fully with OSHA guidelines. Key responsibilities include guaranteeing team members have the needed supplies, equipment, and uniforms, observing behaviors and providing performance feedback, assisting with inspections of guestrooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces, and maintaining open communication with the Front Office regarding the status of housekeeping operations.

The role also requires maintaining and evaluating cleaning standards, reporting maintenance issues promptly, and driving the overall upkeep and cleanliness of the facility. Participation in departmental meetings and clear communication about goals and operational procedures form an essential part of the position. The Housekeeping Manager is tasked with addressing guest complaints, providing timely resolutions, and communicating operational progress to the Executive Housekeeper. This role demands flexibility, including availability for days, nights, holidays, and weekends to meet hotel demands. Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, use hands for handling objects or tools, and lift up to 25 pounds while remaining on feet for most of the shift.

Job Requirements

  • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • strong command of the English language both spoken and written
  • bi-lingual skills a plus but not required

  • high school or equivalent education required

  • minimum 1 year housekeeping management experience in full-service hotel or related field
  • must be able to work variable schedule including days nights holidays and weekends
  • regularly required to sit stand walk bend and use hands
  • must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and work majority of shift on feet

Job Qualifications
