Known for its commitment to exceptional service and customer satisfaction, Quail Run emphasizes maintaining pristine environments through skilled management and dedicated staff. The company fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace culture, promoting equality and professional growth among its employees. Quail Run operates with integrity and a customer-centric approach, aiming to exceed expectations by delivering reliable and efficient housekeeping solutions. It is an equal-opportunity employer committed to hiring based on qualifications and business needs, without discrimination based on race, gender, age, or other protected statuses.

The Housekeeping Manager role at Quail Run is a pivotal leadership position within the Housekeeping Department, reporting directly to the Facilities Director. This exempt, full-time position requires a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week and offers a competitive salary starting at $60,000 annually, with potential for increases based on experience. The primary responsibility of the Housekeeping Manager is to oversee and manage all housekeeping services and staff, ensuring that the highest standards are consistently met or surpassed in alignment with the company’s guidelines and policies.

This role involves comprehensive supervision duties including staffing management, hiring, releasing employees, conducting performance appraisals, and facilitating continuous training to enhance employee skills. The Housekeeping Manager is expected to personally engage in housekeeping activities as needed to maintain departmental operations and quality. Scheduling and billing responsibilities are extensive, encompassing the development and review of work schedules, assignment formulation with detailed checklists, quality control inspections, customer consultations, and precise billing report reviews.

In addition to operational management, the Housekeeping Manager plays a critical role in administrative functions such as annual budget preparation, monitoring profit and loss statements, inventory control, and timely ordering of supplies in coordination with supervisors. The position demands proactive sales and client relationship management to expand the customer base by promoting housekeeping services effectively to new homeowners and tenants. Creating and implementing promotional programs, maintaining detailed client profiles, and regularly assessing customer satisfaction through direct contact are key tasks.

Effective communication is vital, as the Housekeeping Manager must keep the Facilities Director informed about all departmental, client, and personnel matters while recommending actions to preempt or resolve issues. Adherence to company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards is mandatory to ensure smooth, lawful operations.

The ideal candidate will excel in customer relations, demonstrate strong cognitive ability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Knowledge of residential and commercial cleaning, hospitality and custodial services, laundry operations, and housekeeping management is essential. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required to facilitate communication in a diverse work environment.

The physical demands of the position include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, with frequent lifting or carrying of objects up to 20 pounds. The role requires considerable walking, standing, reaching, handling, talking, and listening throughout the workday.

This job description reflects the current expectations, but Quail Run reserves the right to modify duties as business needs change. Employment with Quail Run is at-will and not governed by an employment contract, ensuring flexibility for both employer and employee within the legal framework.
