Job Description

The Higgins Hotel & Conference Center is a distinguished luxury hotel located in the vibrant heart of New Orleans, just across the street from The National WWII Museum. Named to honor Andrew Higgins, the extraordinary entrepreneur who contributed significantly to World War II by designing and building over 20,000 boats in New Orleans, the hotel reflects a unique blend of historical significance and modern elegance. With 230 era-inspired guest rooms and specialty suites, The Higgins Hotel provides guests with an immersive, culturally rich experience that celebrates both comfort and sophistication. The property includes premium amenities such as a full-service restaurant, a lounge, a rooftop bar with scenic views, and a second-floor conference center spanning more than 18,000 square feet of versatile meeting and event space.

Operated under the Davidson Hospitality Group umbrella, an award-winning full-service hospitality management company, The Higgins Hotel embraces an owners' mentality that balances personalized service typical of smaller boutique hotels with the extensive expertise and quality assurance of a large, reputable operator. Davidson Hospitality Group manages partnerships with established brands like Hilton, Hyatt, Kimpton, Marriott, and Margaritaville, contributing to a well-rounded hospitality experience for both guests and employees. The company prides itself on offering a rich benefits program and fostering an inclusive environment that welcomes veterans and individuals with disabilities, emphasizing diversity and equal opportunity.

As a Housekeeping Lobby Attendant at The Higgins Hotel, you will be integral to maintaining the hotel's high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role involves ensuring that the lobby and other public areas are immaculate, tidy, and welcoming. Daily responsibilities include vacuuming, dusting, cleaning mirrors, furniture, floors, ashtrays, elevators, and doors to maintain a spotless and polished appearance free of marks. Additionally, you will be tasked with removing all trash from designated areas, restocking supplies regularly, and promptly responding to guest requests and inquiries with professional courtesy.

This position demands an individual with a friendly and outgoing personality, strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. The role offers a dynamic work environment where you will contribute meaningfully to guest experiences in a historic, culturally rich city known for its lively hospitality scene. The employment opportunity is full-time, with flexibility required to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays. Compensation is competitive and comes bundled with a comprehensive benefits package that supports the well-being and professional growth of employees. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected hotel brand where your work will be valued and career advancement is encouraged.
