The role of Lobby Attendant is critical in upholding the cleanliness and overall ambiance of the hotel's lobby and public areas, including the outside front entrance. This position directly contributes to enhancing the first impression guests have of the hotel by maintaining impeccable public spaces and providing a professional and hospitable atmosphere at all times. The Lobby Attendant will be responsible for a wide range of cleaning duties, including restrooms, floors, furniture, and other high-traffic surfaces. In addition to cleaning tasks, the attendant is expected to respond promptly to guest requests and assist in ensuring safety and security by reporting suspicious activities and maintaining emergency readiness.

This full-time role requires a dedicated professional with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused attitude. The position does not include supervisory responsibilities but is integral to the smooth operation of the hotel’s daily functions. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform thorough cleaning duties
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
  • Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and sitting
  • Previous experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Thoroughly clean all public and employee restrooms areas including sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, tiles, counters, walls, stalls, vents, and floors
  • Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for the use of cleaning agents
  • Thoroughly dust all furniture, pictures, and shelves in all public areas
  • Thoroughly clean and polish all metal surfaces applying pressure in repeated motion
  • Clean ashtrays and empty trash
  • Clean the inside and outside of the trash can
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the floors including sweeping, mopping, buffing, polishing
  • Walk the parking lot picking up all trash
  • Maintain carpets and upholstery
  • Restock restrooms and employee restrooms
  • Respond to guest requests
  • Complete maintenance work orders and deliver them to supervisors and management promptly
  • Turn in all lost and found items in accordance with lost and found procedures
  • Clean employee locker room twice daily
  • Vacuum all public areas
  • Maintain cleanliness of the outside of the building including mopping, sweeping all glass entrance doors and carpets
  • Monitor elevator cleanliness
  • Clean the fitness and business center including equipment and mirrors
  • Report all suspicious persons or activities and hazardous conditions to safety and security department
  • Provide general public assistance, instruction, and guidance for guest and employee safety in fire or other emergencies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
