The role of Housekeeping Supervisor at Thompson Hotels is central to upholding these standards by ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness and service within guest rooms and public spaces. This position is responsible for inspecting guestrooms and public areas to guarantee that cleanliness meets the rigorous 4-Diamond standards expected by guests at a luxury hotel. The Housekeeping Supervisor also plays a critical role in maintaining supplies and linens, coordinating cleaning schedules, assisting with special projects, and collaborating closely with management to promote a culture of excellence and accountability.

This position requires an energetic individual who can manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor. The Housekeeping Supervisor is expected to be proactive and able to prioritize assignments to ensure that VIP and vacancy rooms receive attention immediately. Clear communication skills and the ability to interact with team members and other departments are essential, as is a strong understanding of the tools, chemicals, and procedures involved in luxury hotel cleaning practices. Job Requirements

  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • previous experience in housekeeping
  • ability to maintain 4-Diamond level cleanliness standards
  • ability to work with management on special projects
  • strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency as required
  • must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
  • must be able to push or pull a minimum of 75lbs
  • must be able to communicate via radio and phone as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • previous experience in housekeeping
  • ability to maintain 4-Diamond level cleanliness standards
  • ability to work with management on special projects
  • strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency as required

Job Duties

  • Inspect the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms and public areas
  • assign special projects as directed by the Director of Housekeeping
  • report any needed repairs or discrepancies of guest rooms
  • ensure that all Guest Room Attendants have appropriate supplies and linens
  • assist in the cleaning of guest rooms when necessary
  • assist in processing AM and PM room status reports
  • ensure that the Guest Room Attendant’s linen cart is neat and well organized
  • ensure that linen closets on guest room floors are completely stocked
  • maintain supply cage stock, neat and clean at all times
  • must have all guest rooms punched in via the phone after completion
  • ensure VIP rooms are inspected ASAP
  • ensure check out/vacated rooms are a priority
  • knowledge of hotel, facilities and events
  • all other duties as assigned by leadership
