Job Requirements
- Two years of housekeeping experience including one year supervisory experience
- Must be able to speak basic English
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required
- Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation
- Will require pre-employment and random drug screening
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
- Must be able to comply with scheduled attendance
- Ability to perform physical activities including balancing, climbing, crouching, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling
- Must be able to follow safety instructions and operational procedures
Job Qualifications
- Two years of housekeeping experience including one year supervisory experience
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic English proficiency
- Ability to supervise and evaluate staff
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain proper security key control procedures
- Ability to read and comprehend safety procedures
- Ability to use cleaning supplies and equipment effectively
- Ability to deal professionally with the general public
Job Duties
- Inspect guest rooms, hallways and public areas immediately correcting any deficiencies
- Inspect and evaluate workers' performance to ensure quality service and compliance with housekeeping specifications
- Submit all maintenance issues into the EAM system
- Assist Housekeeping Supervisor with opening the house and other office duties
- Ensure each staff member follows all safety precautions
- Train all team members on departmental operational procedures and functions
- Resolve customer complaints regarding worker performance and services rendered
- Inspect work areas and operating equipment to ensure conformance to established standards
- Assist with cleaning and shampooing carpets on assigned floors
- Attend all required department training including bio clean up and equipment safety
- Assist Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager with screening and interviewing applicants
- Update team member performance journals and assist with performance appraisals
- Perform duties of Guest Room Attendant, Turndown Attendant or House Person as needed
- Ensure all lost and found items are logged and secured properly
- Maintain proper check out and return of guest room master keys and storage keys
- Comply with all Housekeeping/Public Areas and Global Standard Operating Procedures
- Serve as a mentor to new inspectors or attendants
- Report maintenance or hazardous issues to manager or supervisor
- Provide proper customer service
- Check computer rooming system for early outs
- Foster environment of teamwork and appreciation
- Maintain punctual and regular attendance in accordance with company policy
