Job Description

HVMG, or Hospitality Ventures Management Group, is a nationally recognized hotel management company known for its commitment to operational excellence and associate development. With a diverse portfolio of hotel brands across the United States, HVMG prides itself on fostering a Culture of Excellence where every associate is empowered to build a rewarding career in the hospitality industry. The company emphasizes career growth, flexibility, and a supportive work environment that values both personal and professional development. HVMG’s dedication extends beyond business performance, reflecting in their genuine care for their associates’ well-being and success.

The role of the Housekeeping Houseperson at HVMG is a vital support position within the housekeeping team. Reporting directly to the Executive Housekeeper or Housekeeping Supervisor, this role ensures that both guest rooms and public areas maintain the high cleanliness standards expected by HVMG. The Housekeeping Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of public spaces, stocking and delivering linens and supplies, and providing assistance with room resets as needed. This position plays a critical part in ensuring that hotel guests enjoy an exceptional experience by helping the housekeeping attendants operate efficiently.

Beyond the immediate day-to-day functions, a career as a Housekeeping Houseperson offers substantial growth opportunities within the hospitality industry. Many successful hotel professionals began their journeys in similar roles, gaining extensive on-the-job knowledge and the skills needed to advance into housekeeping attendant positions, supervisory roles, and even executive-level management within hotel operations. This position is ideal for individuals eager to ground themselves in the fundamentals of hotel operations and who appreciate a role where physical activity and interaction with guests are balanced with teamwork.

Candidates for this position should be eligible to work in the United States and possess sufficient education or literacy skills to read product labels and communicate effectively with guests and team members. The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and lift as necessary. Flexibility is key, as the position involves a varied schedule with potential shifts during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. A warm, professional demeanor embodying HVMG’s Culture of Excellence is essential to succeed and to create positive guest interactions.

HVMG values its associates highly and offers a robust benefits package including full healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision), paid time off and holidays, a 401(k) plan with a guaranteed 4% match, and exclusive discounts on hotel stays and food and beverage. The company also supports financial wellbeing through PayActive, allowing associates to access up to 40% of earned wages before payday. Flexible scheduling and career development opportunities make HVMG an excellent employer for those seeking long-term careers in hospitality.

Working at HVMG means becoming part of a team that truly believes in the potential of every individual, where success can start anywhere within the organizational chart. The Housekeeping Houseperson position provides an entry point into a vibrant and dynamic industry with paths leading to advancing hotel operations positions. Associates appreciate the culture, the opportunities for growth, and the authentic commitment from leadership to support and recognize employees’ contributions.
