Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be bondable with fidelity bond
- Ability to stand walk stoop and bend for up to eight hours with breaks
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds easily
- Must be able to routinely follow written and verbal instructions
- Minimum six months work experience in housekeeping or related field
Job Qualifications
- At least six months work experience in housekeeping or similar field
- Demonstrated interest in and knowledge about elderly care and their needs
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions consistently
- Strong initiative and willingness to learn new skills
- Capability to meet physical demands of the job including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Familiarity with common housekeeping equipment such as brooms mops floor waxers and polishers
Job Duties
- Cleans public areas and resident apartments including bathrooms kitchens patios windows and floors
- Performs housekeeping duties such as distributing laundered articles and linens changing beds cleaning public restrooms and replenishing supplies
- Sweeps scrubs waxes and polishes floors cleans rugs carpets upholstered furniture and draperies
- Dusts furniture and equipment and polishes metalwork
- Washes walls woodwork windows door panels and sills
- Maintains resident laundry areas including mopping floors and washing walls regularly
- Stocks cleaning cart with supplies empties wastebaskets and transports trash to disposal areas
- Reports resident issues changes in health or living status and potentially unsafe conditions or maintenance issues promptly to supervisor
