The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the cleanliness and overall maintenance of the hotel’s guest rooms and public areas. This individual will prepare staff schedules, manage work distribution, and ensure all sections of the hotel are adequately covered each day. Thorough inspections of guest rooms and common areas are a key responsibility, guaranteeing that cleaning standards align with company policies and meet the expectations of our guests. Training and supervising new and existing housekeeping associates is another vital duty to maintain high performance and service quality. The role requires strong organizational skills to manage work orders for repairs, as well as the ability to promptly report safety hazards or broken door locks to management for immediate remediation to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff. Additionally, the Housekeeping Supervisor must maintain accurate records for the lost and found department, ensuring proper documentation and accountability. Special attention is given to VIP guests, early make-ups, and specific cleaning requests, which are handled efficiently to uphold the hotel’s reputation for outstanding service. This position requires a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet the operational demands of the hotel. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality is preferred

  • ability to manage multiple tasks and schedules efficiently

Job Duties

  • Prepare schedules for the staff and complete the work distribution report, ensuring all sections are covered
  • thoroughly inspect guest rooms and public areas daily to ensure they are cleaned according to company standards
  • train and supervise all new associates and provide on-going training for current staff
  • check for early make-ups, special requests and VIPs
  • maintain proper written records for lost and found
  • run a departure report and recheck all rooms showing up in your assigned section
  • write up work orders for all repairs and immediately report any broken door locks or safety hazards to management for immediate attention
