Job Description

Cape Fear Country Club is a prestigious private club located in North Carolina that offers exceptional recreational amenities and a welcoming community environment for its members and guests. Known for its beautiful golf course and comprehensive facilities, the club emphasizes excellence in service and maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting atmosphere. The club is dedicated to providing a warm and friendly environment where members can relax, socialize, and enjoy numerous activities in a well-maintained setting. The dedicated staff at Cape Fear Country Club work collaboratively to uphold the high standards that enhance the overall experience for everyone who visits the club.

The role of the Maintenance Worker at Cape Fear Country Club is essential to ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the club’s indoor and outdoor areas. This hourly position involves a variety of maintenance tasks designed to keep the club’s property safe, hygienic, and visually appealing. Typical working hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., five days a week, with flexibility required to work weekends and holidays as needed, ensuring continuous operational support throughout the year. This job is ideal for candidates who are physically capable and motivated to contribute to the club’s mission through dedicated service and teamwork.

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for essential duties such as cleaning entry and exit doors, pressure washing exterior building surfaces and sidewalks, window cleaning, gutter maintenance, and keeping golf course restrooms in excellent condition. The role also involves the emptying of trash receptacles throughout the property and providing light housekeeping services when required. Additionally, Maintenance Workers must report maintenance concerns such as damages, broken bulbs, or plumbing issues to the Maintenance Director promptly to prevent any disruption to club operations. The role requires individuals to be comfortable working at heights using ladders and lifts and to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for extended periods, climbing, walking, crouching, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Beyond technical skills, successful candidates will be reliable, professional, and effective communicators with a strong desire to provide excellent service. The ability to work well within a team environment is crucial, as the Maintenance Worker’s efforts contribute directly to creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for members and guests alike. Cape Fear Country Club values commitment and dedication, and this position plays a pivotal role in upholding those values through daily responsibilities and a personal touch in service delivery.

In addition to a competitive salary, eligible employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, insurance, and participation in a 401(k) retirement plan after fulfilling certain service requirements. This inclusive benefits program supports the well-being and financial security of employees, fostering a positive workplace culture. Cape Fear Country Club also implements "for cause" substance abuse testing, underpinning its commitment to safety and professionalism, although it is not a pre-employment screening requirement. If you are seeking a meaningful role in a distinguished private club with opportunities for growth and community engagement, the Maintenance Worker position at Cape Fear Country Club represents an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team.
