Job Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision
- Effective communication skills both verbal and by phone
- Ability to read and comprehend safety data sheets and chemical mixing instructions
- Willingness to undergo background check and drug screening
- Must complete onboarding timely
- Required to receive annual flu vaccine or obtain exemption
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks including extended walking and pushing carts
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision
- Effective verbal and phone communication skills
- Ability to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions on the use of cleaning chemicals
- Previous related experience preferred
- Familiarity with environmental services equipment and cleaning techniques preferred
- Additional related education or experience is a plus
Job Duties
- Performs a variety of assigned cleaning tasks including dusting mopping scrubbing disinfecting vacuuming and polishing according to departmental policies and procedures
- Empties hampers and transports soiled linen and removes all trash including medical waste and sharps
- Inventories restocks and replenishes supplies such as toilet tissue paper towels and hand soap in all assigned areas
- Maintains cleanliness of departmental equipment reports repair needs and logs equipment usage
- Performs special projects like window washing wall washing and removing heavily soiled items or furnishings
- Responds to questions and requests from patients staff and visitors ensuring high customer service satisfaction
- Works under regular supervision responsible for assigned facility or area only
