Job Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision
- Ability to communicate verbally and by phone
- Ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions
- Must be able to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for mixing and use of cleaning chemicals
- Completion of background check and drug screen
- Onboarding completion in a timely manner
- Compliance with annual flu vaccination
- Possession of Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card if working at behavioral health or specified facilities
Job Qualifications
- Previous related experience preferred
- Familiarity with environmental services equipment and cleaning techniques preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions
- Ability to read and understand material safety data sheets and chemical handling instructions
Job Duties
- Perform a variety of assigned cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming and polishing according to departmental policies
- Empty hampers and transport soiled linen
- Empty trash containers and remove all trash including medical waste and sharps
- Inventory, restock and replenish supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels and hand soap in assigned areas
- Maintain cleanliness of departmental equipment and report necessary repairs
- Perform special projects such as window washing, wall washing and removing heavily soiled items
- Respond to questions and requests from patients, staff and visitors and meet customer service satisfaction goals
