Job Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision
- Ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively with others by phone and verbally
- Ability to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for mixing and use of cleaning chemicals
- Ability to fill out chemical identification stickers
- Completion of post-offer occupational health physical assessment, drug screen and background check including employment, criminal and education
- Availability to work every other weekend
- Specific licensing requirements for employees working at certain facilities such as Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card where applicable
Job Qualifications
- Previous related experience and familiarity with environmental services equipment and cleaning techniques is preferred
- Additional related education and/or experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and by phone
- Ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions
- Ability to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for cleaning chemicals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Perform a variety of assigned cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming, and polishing according to departmental policy and procedures
- Empty hampers and transports of soiled linen
- Empty trash containers and remove all trash including medical waste containers and sharps
- Inventory, restock and replenish supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels, hand soap, etc. in all assigned areas
- Maintain cleanliness of departmental equipment and notify appropriate personnel for repairs
- Log out and in equipment used properly
- Perform special projects such as window washing, wall washing, and removing heavily soiled items or furnishings
- Respond to questions and requests from patients, staff, and visitors, meeting or exceeding customer service satisfaction goals
