We are currently seeking a motivated and diligent individual for the position of Custodian at Chartway Arena. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the arena, supporting a team environment, and contributing to the overall positive experience of all guests and patrons. This position is part-time with an hourly wage of $18.00. The Custodian will primarily be responsible for general cleaning duties throughout the facility, managing maintenance needs as necessary, and ensuring all public areas meet our high cleanliness standards. The role may also involve assisting with general facility maintenance tasks, emphasizing the importance of a flexible and proactive approach to work responsibilities. The Custodian will be responsible for the sanitation of restrooms, ensuring all fixtures and surfaces are disinfected and stocked with necessary supplies. The Custodian will collaborate closely with the Housekeeping Manager and Supervisors to report any maintenance issues or damage and assist in identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity within housekeeping operations. The role requires initiative, a willingness to learn new responsibilities, and the ability to work cooperatively with team members. This position involves work during varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, matching the arena's event schedule and the need for continuous facility upkeep. Ideal candidates for this position will exhibit strong customer service skills, readiness to engage with the public during events, and comfort operating cleaning equipment and safely handling cleaning chemicals. Physical stamina is important as the job requires climbing stairs and performing physically demanding cleaning tasks. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred but not mandatory, as full training and support are provided.
