Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of one year supervisory experience
  • valid driver's license
  • knowledge of cleaning methods and materials
  • understanding of safety protocols
  • physical ability to perform housekeeping tasks including lifting up to 40lbs
  • availability to work varied hours including nights, holidays, and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED
  • minimum of one year supervisory experience over full-time and/or part-time staff
  • must have a valid driver's license
  • must have leadership experience with a working knowledge of methods of cleaning, materials, supplies, tools, and equipment utilized in the housekeeping and maintenance of a public assembly facility
  • working knowledge of safety requirements while utilizing housekeeping equipment, cleaning supplies, and chemicals
  • basic knowledge of rolling equipment and floor stripping procedure and working knowledge of cleaning timelines
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to work varied hours often including frequent nights, holidays, and weekends
  • ability to walk, stand, climb, stoop, bend, and lift up to 40lbs for the duration of the shift

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day cleaning operations
  • coordinate the Housekeeping Team to assure tasks are completed in a timely fashion in accordance with instructions
  • perform inspections of tasks performed by Housekeeping Team
  • assist in training new team members on required tasks established by the department
  • assist with supervision of full-time and part-time staff in the absence of Housekeeping Supervisor
  • lead Housekeeping Team and participate in performing a wide variety of housekeeping tasks such as trash removal, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, sweeping, polishing, waxing, mopping
  • report unsatisfactory or dangerous situations which cannot be immediately corrected to appropriate authority
  • perform all other duties as assigned
