Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of one year supervisory experience
- valid driver's license
- leadership experience in housekeeping
- knowledge of cleaning methods and materials
- understanding of safety protocols
- basic knowledge of floor maintenance procedures
- good communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- physical ability to perform required tasks including lifting up to 40 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/ged
- minimum of one year supervisory experience over full-time and/or part-time staff
- must have a valid driver's license
- must have leadership experience with a working knowledge of methods of cleaning, materials, supplies, tools, and equipment utilized in the housekeeping and maintenance of a public assembly facility
- working knowledge of safety requirements while utilizing housekeeping equipment, cleaning supplies, and chemicals
- basic knowledge of rolling equipment and floor stripping procedure and working knowledge of cleaning timelines
- good verbal and written communication skills
- ability to work varied hours including frequent nights, holidays, and weekends
- ability to walk, stand, climb, stoop, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds
Job Duties
- Oversee day-to-day cleaning operations
- coordinate the housekeeping team to assure tasks are completed in a timely fashion in accordance with instructions
- perform inspections of tasks performed by housekeeping team
- assist in training new team members on required tasks established by the department
- assist with supervision of full-time and part-time staff in the absence of housekeeping supervisor
- lead housekeeping team and participate in performing a wide variety of housekeeping tasks such as trash removal, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, sweeping, polishing, waxing, mopping
- report unsatisfactory or dangerous situations which cannot be immediately corrected to appropriate authority
- perform all other duties as assigned
