This full-time Substitute Housekeeping position plays a vital role in maintaining the luxury and comfort that The Ritz-Carlton is famous for. The successful candidate will respond promptly to requests from guests and other hotel departments, ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are pristine and well-stocked. Responsibilities include filling carts with supplies, entering guest rooms in accordance with access procedures, replenishing guest amenities, changing linens, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, removing trash, and performing floor care duties such as vacuuming. Attention to detail is critical, whether dusting, polishing, or straightening furnishings, as the position directly impacts the guest experience.

Safety and security are paramount, with strict adherence to company policies required. This role demands physical endurance and the ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items, including handling housekeeping carts over uneven surfaces. The candidate must be able to perform activities such as bending, twisting, stooping, and standing for extended periods. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent not required
  • ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects up to 25 pounds unassisted, and heavier items with assistance
  • ability to handle housekeeping cart over sloping and uneven surfaces
  • willingness to adhere to uniform and appearance standards

Job Duties

  • Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments
  • fill cart with supplies and transport to assigned area
