Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent not required
  • ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects up to 25 pounds unassisted, and heavier items with assistance
  • ability to handle housekeeping cart over sloping and uneven surfaces
  • willingness to adhere to uniform and appearance standards
  • compliance with safety policies
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to perform manual labor including bending and stooping

Job Duties

  • Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments
  • fill cart with supplies and transport to assigned area
  • enter guest rooms following access procedures and ensure vacancy
  • replace guest amenities and supplies
  • change dirty linens and terry
  • make beds and fold terry
  • clean bathrooms
  • remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items
  • check appliances for presence and working order
  • straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances
  • dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings
  • vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties
  • follow company safety and security policies
  • report maintenance problems, hazards, accidents, or injuries
  • complete safety training and certifications
  • properly store flammable materials
  • maintain clean and professional uniform and appearance
  • maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • welcome and acknowledge all guests according to standards
  • anticipate and address service needs
  • assist individuals with disabilities
  • communicate clearly and professionally
  • support team to reach goals
  • ensure adherence to quality standards
  • perform physical tasks including lifting and pushing carts
  • perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
