Job Description
Win-River Resort & Casino is a premier entertainment and hospitality venue renowned for delivering an exceptional guest experience through its dedication to quality, service, and inclusivity. Situated in the vibrant city of Redding, California, the Casino offers a diverse array of gaming options, live entertainment, exquisite dining, and luxurious accommodations. As a key establishment in the local community and a notable employer, Win-River Resort & Casino prioritizes a safe, welcoming environment for both guests and team members. The Casino operates under the regulation of the Redding Rancheria, emphasizing adherence to cultural values and community-focused initiatives, including a Native American Preference Policy and a commitment to being a drug-free workplace.
The Housekeeping Attendant role at Win-River Resort & Casino is a vital position within the Housekeeping Department, reporting directly to the Technical Services Manager. This non-exempt position is classified as Grade 4 with a competitive hourly wage starting at $17.19 and extending to $25.79 based on experience and performance. Ideal candidates must be at least 21 years old to meet the requirements for obtaining a gaming license, alongside a thorough understanding of health and safety standards. With no supervisory responsibilities, this role is focused on maintaining a pristine appearance throughout the casino’s interior and assigned exterior areas to ensure a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for all visitors.
The Housekeeping Attendant’s primary responsibility is to uphold cleanliness standards that align with the Resort & Casino’s vision, mission, and guest service programs. This role demands a strong attention to detail as attendants frequent areas throughout the casino, including public floors, parking lots, and event spaces. Duties range from trash removal and floor care maintenance to managing cleaning supplies and assisting in event setup and breakdown. Operators of various cleaning machines, such as vacuum cleaners and upholstery cleaners, must do so in strict adherence to manufacturer guidelines, safety data sheets, and internal standard operating procedures. The position requires physical stamina to perform frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, and occasional climbing or kneeling, with occasional handling of weights up to 75 pounds.
Working conditions may expose the attendant to second-hand tobacco smoke and varying environmental settings, both indoors and occasionally outdoors in wet or humid conditions. Candidates must have effective communication skills for engaging with guests and team members, and a flexible mindset to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic casino environment. The Resort & Casino supports an at-will employment relationship and reserves the discretion to modify job duties as necessary. The Housekeeping Attendant will also be expected to comply with the Common Language Rule of the Resort & Casino and to participate in emergency evacuation procedures when required, reinforcing a safe workplace for all.
This position offers a meaningful opportunity to be part of a respected team dedicated to maintaining the high standards and excellent reputation of Win-River Resort & Casino. Employees play a key role in creating a memorable experience for every guest, contributing daily to a clean, safe, and hospitable environment. Win-River Resort & Casino values diversity and inclusion, bringing together team members who are motivated by pride in their work and a commitment to fostering community spirit in a vibrant hospitality setting.
