This role, designated as an as-needed/fill-in Housekeeping Attendant, is based at a community client site located in Downers Grove, Illinois, requiring evening shift availability. Focused on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility, the Housekeeping Attendant plays a critical part in ensuring a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment for all members. The position entails a diverse range of housekeeping responsibilities including cleaning floors, equipment, restrooms, locker rooms, managing laundry duties, and supporting the Service Desk when necessary. The successful candidate will perform detailed cleaning tasks involving cardiovascular and Cybex fitness equipment, maintaining the free weight area ensuring all weights are accurately returned to their designated racks and kept tidy. The job also involves laundering member garments, towels, cleaning rags, and mop heads, ensuring these items are promptly washed, dried, folded, and replenished. Additionally, the role requires some light maintenance responsibilities and the ability to lift and transport objects weighing up to 45 pounds, demonstrating the physical demands of this vital position.
