The Palm Springs/Joshua Tree KOA is a premier campground located in the scenic California desert, approximately 40 minutes away from Joshua Tree National Park. Established as a beloved outdoor hospitality destination, we offer a wide variety of camping experiences throughout the year, including RV sites, cozy cabins, deluxe cabins, and tent camping. Our location makes us a popular spot for visitors seeking to explore the natural beauty and unique environment of the desert while enjoying comfortable and memorable stays. We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our outdoor hospitality team on a part-time basis. This role is excellent for those who enjoy engaging with guests, working in a dynamic and fun atmosphere, and playing a pivotal role in enhancing the overall camping experience. The position involves a mix of housekeeping and guest service responsibilities, reflecting the seasonal nature of campground operations. Working hours vary depending on occupancy and seasonal demands, with shifts scheduled mostly from Tuesday to Friday, between 7 am and 11 pm. Throughout the high season, which runs from October 1 to March 31, there may be increased hours and higher guest activity, especially around holiday weekends.
As a member of the team, you will be an essential contributor to the daily operation of our campground. Responsibilities include greeting and registering guests, assisting with their needs, managing camping site logistics, and ensuring that all communal facilities and accommodations meet our stringent cleanliness and maintenance standards. The work environment is fast-paced and requires excellent multitasking skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a cohesive team. We offer a competitive starting wage of $17 per hour, with potential increases based on experience, making it a rewarding opportunity for both seasonal and ongoing employment.

Job Duties
- Ensures customers receive a high level of service consistent with our customer service philosophy
- Communicate with all staff and management using Teams
- Enforce campground policies and implement solutions consistent with goals of park
- Proactive guest management to ensure positive environment for all guests
- Coordinate with Guest Service/Front Desk staff for guest arrivals
- Coordinate with Guest Service/Front Desk staff for problem resolution when applicable
- Utilize creative problem solving skills
- Escort campers to their site
- Assist guests with questions, delivery of rented fire pits, and other service needs
- Greet and register guests arriving outside of front desk hours
- Regularly check perimeter of the campground
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of the restroom facilities
- Janitorial duties on all buildings at the campground
- Cleaning and preparation of deluxe cabins and deluxe tents for guest arrivals
- Laundry of linens for deluxe accommodations as needed
- Contribute to the organization of all housekeeping supplies
- Complete various duties as assigned by manager which can include but are not limited to light janitorial duties, assisting other departments in completion of tasks, overall support in daily performance of the campground
