Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in housekeeping preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm with weekend availability
  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to housekeeping and laundry duties

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively
  • Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not required
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize and direct the Environmental Services Department programs and activities to ensure that the organization is maintained in a clean, safe, sanitary and comfortable manner
  • Coordinates Housekeeping and Laundry Services with other facility departments and agencies
  • Assist in developing and maintaining written housekeeping policies and procedures
  • Ensures that department personnel follow department policies and utilize equipment and supplies effectively
  • Makes recommendations to the Administrator as necessary concerning the operation of the Housekeeping Department
  • Performs general housekeeping duties in apartments and common areas such as vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, and dusting all cleared flat surfaces
  • Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by the supervisor
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of supplies and equipment used
