The position offered is a full-time, non-management role in the Housekeeping and Laundry department located at 700 W Convention Way, Anaheim, California. The job provides a competitive hourly wage of $28.65 and involves flexible shifts with a preference for weekend availability. Typical working hours are from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm on weekends and from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm on weekdays.
This role is pivotal in maintaining the immaculate appearance and operational readiness of guest rooms and public areas, directly impacting the overall guest experience. Responsibilities include promptly responding to guest requests and interdepartmental communications, identifying and reporting maintenance or safety concerns, and ensuring that all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored. Team members assist in organizing furniture in guest rooms as required, removing items from hallways such as trash, linens, and service trays, and abiding by all safety protocols outlined by the company.
In addition to physical duties like lifting and moving objects up to 55 pounds, climbing stairs, and navigating various surfaces, employees in this role must demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and a collaborative spirit. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting up to 55 pounds
- Flexibility to work weekends and variable shifts
- Good communication skills
- Adherence to company safety policies and procedures
- Ability to work standing, walking, or kneeling for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to follow safety and operational procedures
- Good physical stamina and dexterity
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Basic understanding of Spanish is a plus
Job Duties
- Respond quickly to guest and departmental requests
- Identify and report preventive or maintenance issues in guest rooms and public areas
- Place caution signs and ensure safety compliance
- Contact other departments for urgent repairs
- Organize furniture in rooms as needed
- Remove items from hallways and transport to service areas including trash, service trays, newspapers, and linens
- Clean, maintain, and store cleaning equipment
