This full-time, non-management Housekeeping & Laundry position at The St. Regis Chicago involves maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. The role requires responding promptly to guest and other department requests, identifying maintenance issues in public areas and guest rooms, and placing caution signs when necessary. Employees will handle organizing room furniture, removing items from hallways such as waste, dirty linens, and unused newspapers, and maintaining cleaning equipment. The job demands flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, with an hourly pay rate of $26.50.
The position demands strict adherence to company safety policies, reporting maintenance and safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and completing required safety training and certifications. Maintaining personal appearance and uniform to a professional standard is essential, as is respecting company confidentiality and property. The role supports teamwork, upholding quality assurance standards, and actively assisting coworkers to achieve common goals. Physical requirements include moving objects up to 55 pounds independently and assisting with heavier loads, navigating confined or elevated spaces, climbing stairs and ramps, and working at various speeds depending on workload demands. Job Qualifications
