The role of Housekeeping Aide at MemorialCare's Laguna Hills location plays a vital part in maintaining the hygienic environment required for superior healthcare delivery. This is a full-time, evening shift position that offers a pay range between $22.00 and $28.64 per hour, with additional compensation possibilities including shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonuses. The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for ensuring cleanliness, sanitization, and disinfection across assigned areas in the hospital, following established cleaning schedules and safety protocols. This role requires adherence to departmental procedures to uphold a safe, healing environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The professional handling of cleaning equipment and materials is crucial to this position, which also involves reporting any unsafe conditions to management for timely correction. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Two years of previous hospital and/or hospitality experience preferred
Basic computer skills including ability to use email and complete computer-based training
Strong employee engagement skills
Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to be at work and be on time
Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives
Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner
Ability to prioritize and multitask

Job Qualifications

Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Two years of previous hospital and/or hospitality experience preferred

Job Duties

Perform cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfection functions in assigned hospital areas
Follow established cleaning schedules and safety protocols
Utilize departmental cleaning equipment safely and ensure it is in good operating order
Report unsafe conditions to management for corrective action
Maintain a safe and sanitized environment to support patient care
Assist with other housekeeping duties as assigned by supervisors
Demonstrate professionalism and responsibility while working
