Job Requirements

  • Moderate to heavy lifting ability required
  • Ability to operate all types of floor machinery and housekeeping equipment
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Carry items of 25 lbs
  • Push carts up to 200 lbs
  • Ability to perform frequent pulling, pushing, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting and reaching
  • Job requires extensive standing and walking

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively
  • Willingness to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment
  • Minimum six months experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Operate and utilize cleaning equipment such as wet mop unit, dust mop, automatic floor scrubber, shampoo machine, carpet extractor, and floor buffer
  • Use sanipac, compactor, and bailer for waste management
  • Clean patient areas including restrooms, discharge beds, woodwork, furniture, and glass surfaces using standard cleaning products
  • Maintain auxiliary areas such as medication rooms, nursing stations, offices, exam and treatment rooms, waiting areas, and lobbies
  • Replenish supplies including paper towels, toilet paper, soap, plastic liners, paper cups, and seat covers
  • Report unsafe conditions and defective equipment
  • Follow safety protocols including proper disposal of sharp objects and use of correct body mechanics
