Job Requirements

must be able to read write and comprehend basic written instructions in english
must be able to comprehend verbal instructions and speak reply in english
3 plus months of cleaning experience in a healthcare setting preferred
ability to safely move lift push pull up to 50 lbs individually
ability to perform repetitive cleaning motions such as sweeping vacuuming mopping and dusting
requires working with cleaning chemicals and products in a safe manner

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

receives cleaning assignments and requests materials such as mops buckets vacuum cleaner and disinfectants
cleans assigned areas by washing furnishings tile fixtures and equipment with germicidal cleaning solutions and polishes sinks tubs toilets and mirrors
strips cleans and makes beds with fresh linens and disposes of refuse by emptying wastebaskets restocks supplies of soap tissues towels and disposable items
sweeps mops floor areas vacuums carpets spot cleans carpets and arranges furniture and equipment orderly after cleaning
cleans and performs routine maintenance on sanitation equipment and notifies supervisor of repairs
visually inspects area upon completion to ensure cleanliness and neatness
returns unused supplies to utility room cleans carts and stores items orderly
performs heavy-duty floor and carpet cleaning including stripping and shampooing
washes scrubs and disinfects walls windows and doors removes stains as necessary
gathers refuse and transports to compactor or holding area segregates bagged refuse and loads into compactor
moves furniture and equipment with handcarts or dollies
