Job Requirements
- evidence of training or experience relevant to janitorial and custodial work
- ability to meet physical demands including lifting heavy equipment and sustained physical activity
- capacity to follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment
- work indoors and occasionally outdoors in various weather conditions
- good hand, foot, and eye coordination
- ability to notice dirt, dust, and debris requiring cleaning
- meet federal clearance and eligibility standards for employment
- no educational substitution available
Job Qualifications
- experience performing janitorial or custodial duties in healthcare or similar environments
- knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting procedures
- ability to operate powered cleaning equipment safely
- understanding of safety and hygiene standards in a healthcare setting
- good physical condition to handle continuous walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, pulling, and pushing
- capacity to follow directions accurately
- reliable and dependable work ethic
Job Duties
- perform janitorial and custodial services including textile distribution and inventory activity
- sanitize and disinfect healthcare facility areas to maintain hygiene standards
- remove waste and ensure proper disposal
- clean blinds and wash windows for facility upkeep
- polish floors using manual and powered equipment
- handle heavy powered cleaning equipment and maintain safety protocols
- follow work practices to ensure reliability and dependability in all tasks
